[Original caption] HERE'S HOW: Mrs. Daniel Tavares shows daughter Myrtle the fine points of making a hem on a garment to be worn at the April 25 and 26 Festival of Music in the auditorium of Farrington high school. Sponsored by the Friends of Palama club to aid the Settlement scholarship fund, the programs will feature folk songs of Hawaii and the Pacific nations sung by Lorraine Pokipala and the Settlement children's chorus, legends by Kamokila Campbell accompanied by Kaupena Wong and Pele Pukui, and a drama titled "friendship House" depicting activities of the Settlement. The Ryukyu Ongaku Kyokai, an Okinawan music and dance group, will perform Friday; Saturday, in their place, will be the Mckinley high school concert band and the Roosevelt high school A Cappella chorus. Show time is 8 p.m. for both performances.
