• Winners of the Second Annual Turkey Run, November 24, 1953.
  Palama Settlement held its second annual turkey run where young participants raced for Thanksgiving prizes. They include 19-pound turkeys donated by Foodland Super Markets and the Liliha Market and pumpkin pies donated by the Palama Bakery and Quality Bakery.
